So many of us just want that clear, flawless, glowing skin…and now you really can achieve it. I am going to teach you five simple steps to achieve amazing skin.

Step number 1: Identify your skin type
Is your skin oily, dry, aging, dull, sensitive, combination, breakout prone, red or uneven. Once you have identified what type of skin you have we can then help you to chose the products that are correct for you.

Step number 2: Cleanse daily
No matter what your skin type, it is vital that you cleanse your skin. Your skin needs time to breathe and for it to do that it must be completely rid of makeup, dead skin and dirt build up from your day. You should cleanse your face first thing in the morning and before you go to bed. We have a wide range of soaps at Scent&Colour that are perfect to use on the face. We have a soap to suit each skin type. If you would like more help on finding the right soap for your skin or would like more information on cleansing then please check out our blog “The Importance of Cleansing Your Skin”: http://bit.ly/2muTeo2

Step number 3: Facemask
You should give your skin to have a deep cleanse and treatment once a week. You can use the same soap that you use to cleanse your skin to make a facemask. By doubling up this product you are saving money and reducing your waste at the same time! To make your facemask simply dampen your soap and hand and rub your bar of soap until a cream starts to form. Take this cream and smooth a thin layer over your face. The cream will turn clear on your face as it begins to set. Leave this mask on for 20 minutes (you can leave it on for 5 minutes if you are in a rush but the longer the better) then simply wash off with warm water.

Step number 4: Moisturise
Finding a natural moisturiser can be very difficult and people with oily or breakout prone skin may feel cautious about using moisturisers. We offer two amazing all natural moisturisers. Our first is called “Oliva” which is an olive oil based face cream which is rich and nourishing. We would suggest this moisturiser to anyone with dry, aging or sensitive skin. We also offer another moisturiser called “aloevera” which is aloe vera based. We would suggest this moisturiser to anyone with combination, sensitive, breakout prone, uneven, red or oily skin. Both moisturisers are suitable for all skin types however the olive oil based cream is slightly heavier whereas the aloe vera based cream is lighter. Both creams offer 24hrs of hydration and an anti-aging option is available. Both of these creams can be used for your day and night moisturiser, again doubling up on products means that you save money and produce less waste!

Step number 5: Healthy lifestyle
For our fifth and final step we have to discuss having a healthy lifestyle. What we put into our bodies and do on a daily basis has a huge effect on our outward appearance. To have clear and glowing skin you need to eat a healthy, balanced diet, rich in nutritious fruit and vegetables. You also need to exercise. This doesn’t mean that you have go running every morning if you don’t want to. Find an exercise or sport that you love and try doing an hour of that activity at least once a week. Get in daily exercise by simply walking more. Park further away from work (or whatever your destination may be) and walk the extra distance to get there. Go outside and walk for 10 minutes on your lunch break. Whatever it may be, it doesn’t have to be hard to get a little more movement into your day.

If you follow these 5 simple steps you will be well on your way to having beautiful, clear, glowing skin.
